MANSFIELD, OHIO - Fifty million tons of electronic waste (e-waste) is produced each year around the globe. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the US discarded 30 million computers in 2012, and more than 100 million phones are disposed of annually across Europe. Senator Al Franken
                        Senator Al Franken (D)

This principal has come under attack in the past under such names as SOPA and PIPA and has failed.  The issue represents itself again in today's climate as the FTC considers allowing major companies to develop, use, and if they choose they could charge premium fees for what they call "Fast Lanes".
