| Description: | Each Saturday the Ohio Bird Sanctuary offers free "Nature Encounters". Come enjoy a short presentation by one of the volunteers or staff starring one of the resident birds that have come to the sanctuary and could not be released back into the wild after rehabilitation.
The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is a 501(3) non-profit organization which is dedicated to the rehabilitation of Ohio's native birds of prey and songbirds, with an emphasis on educating the community about conservation of our natural resources. The Bird Sanctuary is open to the public and encompasses over 90 acres including; hiking trails, live bird of prey displays, and a walk-through songbird aviary. Visitors can purchase a small cup of meal worms in the Visitor Center and hand feed the aviary residents.

There will be displays, samples, horse-drawn wagon rides to the sugar house, tapping demonstrations each hour and pancakes with maple syrup. Make sure to stop at the Sugar Store for maple products, including maple candy, maple sugar, popcorn, maple cotton candy, dry goods, and freshly made pure maple syrup!

| Description: | Experience sugar camp with live historical demonstrations, horse drawn wagon rides, food and maple products for sale.
Returning once again to Malabar Farm State Park is the annual Maple Syrup Festival. Ride horse-drawn wagons from the Big House to the Sugar Shack where you will be able to view the processes used to turn the sap that is collected into delicious maple syrup. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy live historical demonstrations of the evolution of syrup making by the Native Americans and Pioneers. Food and maple syrup products will be available for purchase. As always, it is sure to be a fun and enjoyable, educational, event for the whole family. Don't miss it!
Admission is FREE, however donations to the Draft Horse group are appreciated
