The Ashland Ohio Balloonfest, 26 years of high flying fun! Feel the excitement and splendor of bold, colorful hot air balloons as they tower over you, then magically rise and soar away! Plus, enjoy lots of other activities: Balloon Glow, Balloon races, stage performances, sport tournaments, displays, exhibits, food and more. Everyone will enjoy the colorful Ashland skies as the hot air balloons fill the air for this memorable weekend.

 xplorers of nature Series at Pleasant Hill Lake Park offers kids, ages 4-16, to discover the nature around us!

Visitors will meet at the welcome Center.  Cost is $5 per person or $30 for all eight sessions through August 6. Registration is required. 

June 25 - Feathered Friends (kids will learn about Ohio's birds and make a birdfeeder to take home)

July 2 - Magnificent Mammals (kids will learn about Ohio's mammals and make a squirrel feeder to take home)

July 9 - Frogs, Turtles, and Toads, Oh My! (kids will learn about Ohio's reptiles and amphibians, then make a toad house to take home)

July 16 - Creepy Crawlies (kids will learn about Ohio's insects and make a mason bee box to take home)

July 23 - Plant Palooza (kids will learn about Ohio's plants and plant a wildflower seed to take home)

July 30 - Water World (kids will learn about the water cycle and make a terrarium to take home)

August 6 - Campfire Adventures (kids will learn about campfire building and cooking, then make tasty treats to enjoy by the fire)

 The Mansfield Reformatory Preservation Society is offering Ghost Hunts®!  They are serious, yet informal attempts to document paranormal activity at the castle-like, former prison. Ghost Hunts provide an unusual, first-hand experience to search other realms. Ghost Hunts at OSR are the first of their kind in the United States.

Admission is $70* per person and includes access to the building from 8:00 pm until 5:00 am and a late dinner of pizza and soda.  Complimentary water, soda, coffee and hot chocolate available throughout the evening.

 The Ohio Lily Society Show will be held in the Carriage House at Kingwood Center on July 2nd & 3rd.

Come join us at the Black Fork Commons Park for the opening day of the Shelby Farmers' Market. Here you will find incredible baked goods, hand crafted items of every kind, and seasonal fresh fruits and vegetable from nine to noon and the market will run every Saturday until October 1st.
