What is Plein-Air Painting?
En plein air is a French term that translates literally as “in the open air.” The term “plein-air painting,” as it is currently used, usually refers to paintings that are completed on location.

This is art of the 80th year anniversary event recreating those bygone years of the Mansfield Art Society's visits to the park painting at the public bathing beach. Artists will be painting throughout the day from 9:00am until 2:00pm in various locations on the beach, marina, and park areas. Then at 2:00pm until 3:00pm, those artists will be selling their paintings at the Wet Painting Sale at the Welcome Center area. Sale is open to the public. Your chance to own an original painting of Pleasant Hill Lake Park.

Movies at the Lake
A family friendly movie on the BIG screen that evening
At dark, next to the Welcome Center.


Gate entry is only $5/car all day pass.
