17th Annual Mohican Wildlife Weekend Kickoff at Landoll's Mohican Castle

Friday, April 27th   6pm-7pm
Welcome Reception   FREE
The Castle Event Center
Meet and greet reception with Keynote Speaker, Jacob Coffy, at Landoll's Mohican Castle.
Program Site staff and wildlife ambassador volunteers will be available to answer questions and help plan your weekend activities.
Announcements of  any  changes and updates to the event schedule.
Maps, brochures and event schedules will be available to pick up.

Join in on the kickoff, with a raffle prior to the keynote speaker, Jacob Coffy. Area program sites and businesses donated items will be raffled before the keynote speaker. 
Door prizes will be on display and raffle tickets can be purchased at the reception.
All proceeds benefit the Mohican Wildlife Weekend event and programs.

6pm-7pm – Raffle – Castle Event Center
Raffle tickets are $1 each, 6 for $5, or the ultimate wingspan for $20. (Cash only)
Prizes include, overnight stays at Landoll’s Mohican Castle, gift certificates to Copper Mug Bar & Grille, and more.

7pm – Keynote Speaker – Jake Coffy – Conquering the Appalachian Trail – in the Event Center
After graduating highschool in 2015, Jake Coffy decided to pursue his dream of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail. At 18 years old, on May 1st, 2016, he started this great trek. His goal was to finish it in 4 months. And he did. On September 1st, exactly 4 months later, he conquered the Appalachian Trail.
Learn about overcoming the impossible challenges and more while following him on his adventure.
Free and open to the public! 


Saturday, April 28th   2pm-3pm
BACKPACKING: Tricks and Tips Program    FREE
Jacob will also be presenting a Backpacking: Tricks and Tips program at Pleasant Hill Lake Park.
He will share his camping, hiking, and backpacking experiences and provide insight into what it takes to survive while on the trail.
Great time for questions and answers from the pro. All ages welcome.
Free program at Pleasant Hill Lake Park Welcome Center Building, 3431 State Route 95. Perrysville


Sunday, April 29th  1pm-2pm
Twisted Venison Burger Cooking Demonstration & Craft Beer Tasting     $10/person Reservations Required
The Castle Event Center
Go beyond the normal hamburger and potato chips. Learn how to make the Twisted Venison Burger with the Copper Mug Bar & Grille’s executive chef Kyle Elsasser. He will demonstrate how to make farm-raised venison slider burgers on a brioche bun with stone-ground mustard, Cherrywood-smoked bacon and cheese. Homemade smoky BBQ potato chips, and a wild mushroom and white bean ragout.
Tastings available at the end of the demonstration.
You will also taste 6 different craft beers that pair well with venison.
