Grand Marshal - Frank Stumbo and his wife Betty

Former Ontario mayor Frank Stumbo is the grand marshal for this year’s Fourth of July parade. After serving in the Navy in World War II and Korea, Mr. Stumbo was elected the first mayor of Ontario from 1958 to 1963 and helped plant many seeds which has made Ontario the place it is today. He also served on the village council and was elected treasurer. Mr. Stumbo also helped organize and served in the air national guard at Mansfield Lahm Airport in 1948. Mr. Stumbo is the editor and owner of the Tribune-Courier newspaper, which has been in business since 1961.
