About the show:
Be careful what you wish for! Stephen Sondheim’s and (Mansfield native) James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters – Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. With over 20 principal roles, there are parts for all!

Younger cast members will be featured in a one-act curtain raiser of 1001 Arabian Nights. King Shahryar kills a new wife every night, because he is afraid she will stop loving him. But his new bride Shahrazad has a clever plan to save herself. Her nightly stories--of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, and many other heroes and villains--are so engrossing that King Shahryar has to postpone her execution again and again. Music is from classical themes by Alexander Borodin- again, lots of parts in this swashbuckling tale!
